The Grind

We grinded all week trying to find more people to teach and we found a couple but we also found a lot of people that would rather have us out of Fort Worth. We were walking to contact this one guy and we saw this other guy wearing some sort of fez I knew that talking to this guy would probably take a good chunk out of our afternoon but we tried to give him a card anyway. He said he didn't want it but then sucked in a breath and walked towards us and proceeded to preach from his sidewalk about how Donald Trump is spoken of in the Qur'an and how he's going to cage us in America. Then of course he talked about race for a good 20 minutes while we tried to leave but he just kept talking. He told us we could be cleansed from sin by our works and we objected but he kept going. He ended by talking about the pyramids in "Ethiopia" and how he has a box set of DVDs that explain how they predict the end of the world and how African technology far exceeded anything that exists now. It was all a very impressive display, great monologue.
We also met this one guy from my old stomping grounds of Mexia that used to rob people on Craigslist but on his way to a robbery he applied at a pet cemetery as a joke but they gave him a job so he stopped robbing people. Crazy stuff.
We did meet this one lady that was really excited to read the Book of Mormon. She kept seeing ads for them and was curious and so she ordered one online. She was super excited and really wanted to learn, she understood the Restoration really well and agreed that you have to have authority to lead a church. Not sure how well she understood the concept of the Restoration of said authority but we'll work on it. But we just got so excited that she wanted to read the Book of Mormon because if people have even a desire to read it and know that it's true God will tell them that it is!
